MyNovel is a word processor specifically designed for novelists

MyNovel is a modern word processor which includes everything you will need to write, format, and print a novel ready for submission to literary agents and publishers.

As a novel writing program, it also includes specialist tools for novel writing including reading age analysis (to make sure you are writing in clear English and are writing at an appropriate reading age), questionnaires and wizards to evoke characters and settings for your novel, and the ability to set yourself daily writing goals. For new writers, MyNovel includes templates which you can follow in order to plan and structure your novel. Additionally, MyNovel includes a full-featured diagramming system which will enable you to visualize aspects of your novel (including family trees and relationships).

Daily writing goals

As writers ourselves, we find it very useful to set oneself a daily writing goal and to stick to it as rigidly as possible. Writing too many words on any particular day is not an issue, of course, but writing too few, or leaving a novel aside for weeks on end is never going to get it written. So, when you create a new novel with MyNovel you provide the software with a daily target word count and a total word count. In return the software will tell you when the novel will be completed by. Alternatively you can choose when you want the novel to be completed by and MyNovel will calculate a daily target for you. You will not write a novel in a day! MyNovel will also not write your novel for you. However, by setting yourself daily goals MyNovel will motive you to get your novel completed. Full-screen, clutterless editing

There are times when you don't want clutter around you, when you just want to see the text you are writing and nothing else. At the click of a button, MyNovel allows you to hide everything besides your text and enter a full-screen, clutterless editing mode.
