How to begin writing a novel
If you're like most people, you know you have a great book inside you. If only you
had the right tools to write it down. For a new novelist, nothing is more daunting
than the sight of a blank page. Fortunately if you use MyNovel it won't stay blank
forever. You can use MyNovel to prise that novel out of you, set it down, and get it
published.
Make observations every day
Make observations every day - people you see in the street, people you have sat
next to on the bus, places you have been, places you have researched or read about.
Use MyNovel to record your observations and ideas. These will form the basis for
you novel.
Plan your novel
Using the observations you have made, complete the character questionnaires to flesh
out your characters fully, based on the observations you have made in everyday life.
Incorporate some of the features of the places you have visited into the plan for
your novel. Be imaginitive. Choose the best and worst features; incorporate the most
piquant scenes that you come across or imagine.
Be dedicated!
Writing a novel takes dedication. Try to write at least one page of your novel every
single day. If you have a writing spurt, don't take the next day off, still aim
to write a page a day. An average novel is about 320 pages, so within one year if
you plod away one page a day, your best seller will be written. MyNovel will help
you to plan your novel, and avoid inconsistencies. It will help you with scene ordering
and plotting. Get started today! Download the demo
